FOOD STUDY

These pictures show the actual sizes of foods and will help you to measure the foods you serve. Look at the potatoes, meat, cheese, etc., as you put them on the plate. Then look at the pictures and decide which is the nearest size.

MEAT SLICED

MEAT CHUNKY

Choose the picture which is the size nearest to the piece of meat on your plate and see the letter (A, B, C, D, E) underneath it. Write down this this letter on your form.

Example:

1 slice beef C or 2 chunks lamb D and E.

POTATOES

When serving whole potatoes or pieces of potato, choose the nearest size (A, B, C, D, E). If the potato it mashed look and see how much to put in the tablespoon and write down the number of spoonfuls you serve.

Example:

2 potatoes C

or 3 pieces E.

or 4 tablespoons mashed.

CHEESE

Try to cut off pieces of cheese in squares and choose one of these sizes.

Example:

1 piece cheese C.
